Dr Halimuddin Sawali

Organizing Chairman

It gives me great pleasure to welcome all delegates, speakers, and distinguished guests to the TransBorneo ENT Conference 2027. This year’s theme, “ENT Update Across Borneo,” reflects our shared commitment to advancing ear, nose, and throat healthcare through collaboration, education, and innovation.

This conference brings together ENT specialists, academicians, medical officers, private practitioners, and paramedics from Sarawak, Sabah, Labuan, Brunei, and Kalimantan. For the first time, we unite the ENT community from across Borneo under one platform to exchange knowledge, discuss current practices, and explore new developments in Rhinology, Otology, Pediatric ENT, and Sleep Surgery.

Our goal is not only to showcase the expertise of local and regional leaders but also to encourage meaningful engagement and partnership among practitioners across borders. By sharing our experiences and understanding the unique challenges faced within different healthcare settings, we strengthen our collective ability to deliver high-quality ENT care to the diverse communities we serve.

I extend my deepest appreciation to our speakers, contributors, and organizing committee members whose dedication has made this event possible. I also wish to thank our participants for your enthusiasm and commitment to continuous learning.

I hope that this conference will be a valuable and enriching experience for all, inspiring new ideas, collaborations, and initiatives that will strengthen ENT practice throughout Borneo.

Welcome once again, and I wish you a productive and memorable conference.
